Apple’s iMessage push message service to vie BBM

And just when BlackBerry lovers begin giggling away at Nokia’s lame attempt at a messenger that should’ve, though failed to, give the BBM service a run for its money, Apple decided to step in and shoulder RIM too, with its iMessage service. Capable to function smoothly on just about any iOS device, this one enables users to send pictures, messages, videos and contacts too, just like the good old indispensible BlackBerry Messenger. That’s not all. Kicking RIM square in the place where it hurts the most, the iMessage also works with WiFi and 3G and also includes the delivery and read confirmations, just like BBM.  [Engadget]
