Sony nav-u NV-U37 is the G-Shock of GPS

Sony Japan has announced the nav-u NV-U37, a portable GPS. It was scheduled to be announced earlier but was delayed by the unfortunate earthquake in March. It packs in a 3.5 inch screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, designed to withstand the forces of nature it can be used while walking, running and can even be mounted on a bike. The unit comes with 8GB of onboard memory which can be further expanded via Memory Stick slot. The battery has enough juice to provide 9 hours of navigation aid or movies. It will be made available in Japan by late June in three colors for 38,780 Yen ($ 500).
