Toshiba's Thrive tablet has been a long time coming and we cannot really wait any more. With the dual-core CPU inside it, the tablet will make it so much easier to operate on and perform difficult operations quicker. It is also expected to show off Android Gingerbread 2.1. It so happens that the company is ready to slice down the price to make it more of a competitive product. The Thrive will also have a 10.1-inch display screen, based on Nvidia Tegra 2. Other features include two cameras, HDMI video-out, a full-size SD card, a video upscaler from Swype's keyboard and a customizable file manager. The Toshiba Android tablet is expected to cost $420 (16GB) while the 32GB version will come for a hefty $579. There's also a 16GB version.
