Asus PadFone, a smartphone and tablet combined, unveiled at Computex

Asus sure as hell left everyone impressed at the Computex trade show this year. Just as the show was about to end, Chairman Jonney Shih pulled the veil of the Asus PadFone, the best product of the night, that had everyone struck flabbergasted at its sheer innovativeness and never-used-before design. For now a concept, the Asus PadFone basically blends into a smartphone and a slate. This one allows users to simply dock the Asus smartphone onto the slate, turning it into a full-fledged tablet slate. And yes, the tablet dock probably will lack the processor memory and local storage, leaving it all to the smartphone, just like the Motorola Atrix. Also, once Asus finally decide to bring this one to market shelves, the PadFone is expected to pack the Android OS.

With a screen size of 4.3 inches for the smartphone and 10.1 inches for the tablet slate, Asus took the cake for innovativeness and awesomeness in design at Computex and we eagerly await this one to hit manufacturing lines.
