Garmin are giving their eTrex line of GPS devices a whole new facelift that was needed quite bad. Their new devices will include the entry level eTrex 10 with a worldwide database of locations and a monochrome display that can be read under the sun. Then there’s the eTrex 20 with a 2.2-inch display screen with a 65K color parameter that makes it stand out. Up the food chain is the eTrex 30 with everything that the eTrex 20 has to offer and more. The more spells something like the tilt-compensated electronic compass, a barometric altimeter and wireless data transfer support.
All models offer 25 minutes of working time. The 10 will cost you $120, the 20 will come for $200, while the 30 will set you back $300.
